Derrick Rose was a little vague on why he went AWOL last night, but takes responsibility on not contacting the Knicks when he decided to leave and go to Chicago.
Here is what he had to say.
Derrick Rose said he flew to Chicago to be with his family yesterday and flew back to New York this morning.

Derrick Rose said he didn't want to pick up the phone when NYK called him Monday because he needed his "space" to process the family issue.

Rose said it had nothing to do with him being upset with Jeff Hornacek, but everything to do with his family issue.
Rose said after he explained what the issue was to Knicks brass they accepted it and his apologize for not texting back.
Derrick Rose said he returned to Chicago because he needed to be with his mother.

Rose has been fined not suspended and as long as he is in right mental space Hornacek said he would play tomorrow in Philly.
