Trent Richardson was hoping to have one last shot in the NFL and while it was highly unlikely that was going to happen, this will put the nail in the coffin.
Former Alabama running back Trent Richardson was arrested in Hoover on a domestic violence charge.
Hoover police responded at 8:04 p.m. Thursday to a 911 call reporting a possible domestic disturbance at the Hyatt Place Hotel on John Hawkins Parkway.
Officers were able to make contact with an adult male – later identified as Richardson – and adult female who were involved in a domestic altercation, Rector said.
After interviewing both of them, officers determined the two had been arguing earlier while at the Walmart on John Hawkins Parkway. The dispute then apparently continued after they arrived back at the hotel.
At some point the situation turned physical, Rector said, and the female sustained injuries – scratches and bruising- to her face.
Richardson has been released on $1000 bond.
