Steve Kerr’s son Nick was forced to defend himself after a fake journalist claimed his father was racist. A man that purported himself to be a reporter for Hardwood Paroxysm named Eric Maroun posted the following on Twitter yesterday.
We won’t get into how this clown thinks the name Nick Kerr is “racist”, figure that out for yourselves. The independent site @warriorsworld that covers the Dubs, screen captured the tweet and posted it. Nick caught wind of it and responded, cool and calm as you might expect.
Eric Maroun was a one time contributor to HP but hasn’t written for the website in months. Matt Moore the Editor Emeritus of Hardwood Paroxysm tweeted the following.
@heinzlrj site’s defunct. If it were still around, he wouldn’t write for it anymore. Obviously don’t condone that line of thought, disturbed

@warriorsworld @ejmaroun I’ll be looking forward to your stiff vanilla apology memo tomorrow morning…

Just as Nick predicted Scoops responded with the following:
I completely apologize for the tweet I sent last night. It was over the line and has been deleted.

There is no place for this in sports. This guy pretending to be a journalist causes problems for those of us that are legitimate in this business. Do you still want to stick to the, “sports has the ability to unite us all” narrative?
