The Batman has found a new director. After, Ben Affleck said he won’t direct it because he realized he can’t be a good Batman AND direct at the same time, Warner Bros went back to old bae.
Batman News reports Dawn of the Planet of the Apes directer, Matt Reeves has been named the new director. After, Affleck dropped out, it was reported that Reeves and Warner Bros were in talks but negotiations fell apart. However, it seems they got it straightened out and he’s on board.
Reeves told The Hollywood Reporter,
I have loved the Batman story since I was a child. He is such an iconic and compelling character, and one that resonates with me deeply. I am incredibly honored and excited to be working with Warner Bros. to bring an epic and emotional new take on the Caped Crusader to the big screen.”
As for Mr. Affleck, he’ll still be in the film. Instead of getting all the blame for a subpar Batman movie, he can just own up to HIS part only.
Just kidding. Reeves does have a lot on his shoulders to deliver on this one though.
However, it doesn’t matter because we’ll all be arguing about something.
