ESPN has announced who will be replacing Chris Berman on the network’s 2017 NFL programming. Berman, the longtime fixture on ESPN’s NFL coverage will be assuming a different role, to be announced.
Suzy Kolber will be handling all the entire Monday Night Countdown hosting duties live from the site of each week’s game, including pregame, halftime and postgame. She will also continue to host the weekday NFL Insiders from Bristol.
Samantha Ponder will be the new host of Sunday NFL Countdown, leaving her current post as host of College GameDay. No word yet on who will replace Ponder on GameDay.
Trey Wingo will be keeping all of his current responsibilities and also add all three days of hosting the NFL Draft to his responsibilities.
ESPN has been going through a series of layoffs and programming changes. Giving these high profile spots to familiar faces is a good move.
