That is a lot of meth.
Government agencies and the police scored big time when they busted two Phoenix area brothers and reportedly confiscated nearly 200 pounds (about 90 kilos) of meth from them on Tuesday.
Brothers Jayro Haro-Lopez, 34, and Hernan Haro-Lopez, 28, were caught in a multi-agency investigation taking place over many months, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
Cops say the Haro-Lopez brothers were placed under surveillance after being suspected of distributing methamphetamine which was being illegally imported from Mexico, according to ABC 15.
While under surveillance on Tuesday, the Haro-Lopez brothers were said to have been seen removing a box containing the drugs from a Phoenix storage locker, before placing it in Jayro’s car. Then, the brothers reportedly left the storage facility in separate cars.
At that point, Maricopa County deputies attempted to pull over the brothers. While younger brother Hernan stopped as requested, Jayro — who is said to have been transporting the drugs — tried to escape from authorities.
During Jayro’s flight, cops say he caused two crashes. When he tried to run away on foot, deputies were able to catch him and take him into custody
