When the UCLA Bruins were ousted by the Kentucky Wildcats last week, the focus for Lonzo Ball immediately shifted to the NBA Draft. After the game, Ball entered his name in the NBA Draft.
What a shocker.
As media and fans alike attempt to project where prospects will go, there’s a huge debate on who should be the first point guard selected. For the majority of the season, Washington’s Markelle Fultz has been the front runner.
Despite not making the NCAA tournament, Fultz displayed what his game is all about throughout the course of the season. Averaging 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game.
However, when Ball appeared on ESPN earlier, he made his case.
“Markelle’s a great player, but I feel I’m better than him,” said Ball.”I think I can lead a team better than him. Obviously he’s a great scorer — he’s a great player, so I’m not taking that away from him.”
Ball also spoke on how he wants to become the greatest ever:
The NBA Draft is June 22.
