I just want you to really think about this before I give you the quotes from Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman.
There are NFL owners, GMs and executives that hate Kaepernick’s guts for protesting police brutality, being against racial injustice, helping 1000s of people of varying races, genders and cultures and just generally being a guy who put his money where his mouth is after kneeling for the anthem.
NFL people are calling him embarrassment for that, so what do you think those executives think about black people or women or muslims?
Things that make you go hmmmmm…..
Some teams fear the backlash from fans after getting him. They think there might be protests or [President Donald] Trump will tweet about the team. I’d say that number is around 10 percent. Then there’s another 10 percent that has a mix of those feelings.
“Third, the rest genuinely hate him and can’t stand what he did [kneeling for the national anthem]. They want nothing to do with him. They won’t move on. They think showing no interest is a form of punishment. I think some teams also want to use Kaepernick as a cautionary tale to stop other players in the future from doing what he did.”
When I spoke to a handful of executives at the combine a few weeks ago, one even called him “an embarrassment to football.”
Simply put the NFL appears to be moving to blackball Colin Kaepernick from the league because he wanted black people to be treated better by society.
Just let that sink in, if you aren’t in your sunken place.
