The Coachella Music Festival took place this past weekend in the Southern California desert. Anytime you get a large group of people together there is always the opportunity for criminal activity. According to KTLA 5 authorities arrested 36 year old Reinaldo De Jesus Henao on suspicion of stealing over 100 phones at the festival.
Apparently during the festival several attendees noticed their phones were missing. Since the Apple iPhone is the dominant player on the market, the majority of people activated the “Find my iPhone” feature. A few of the people whose phones were stolen were able to find and follow Henao until Indio police arrived. When arrested Henao had more than 100 phones in his backpack. Many of the phones were returned to their owners. The rest were turned into lost and found.
Given all the technology we have, criminals can’t expect to get away with a simple grab and go. Especially if they are taking electronics.
