McDonald’s is mixing things up a bit, which sent social media into a frenzy.
Reveling that the company has decided to swap out their current uniforms for something a bit more stylish.
Instead of the traditional red/black/yellow color scale employees will now wear sleeker gray-on-gray uniforms. The new design has social media comparing the uniforms to “The Hunger Games’ and ”Star Wars”. Designer Waraire Boswell used to work at McDonald’s and said he wanted to create a uniform that employees wouldn’t mind wearing outside of work.
The new uniforms has some people saying, Um..nice try but, no thank you. Twitter and the social media world have lit up as consumers share what they think about the look.
McDonald’s senior director of human resources Jez Langhorn said,
“[I]t’s another step in the company’s continuous effort to raise the bar by investing in people and improving the restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality,”
Fortune reported McDonald’s said 7 out of 10 employees said they like the modern image. In statement released by McDonald’s “the new collections were designed to bridge the gap between fashion and function.”
