The highly anticipated El Clasico Miami is set for July 29th, 2017 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL. This is the first time in the history of the matchup between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid C.F. that it will played on United States soil, integrating into the International Champions Cup (ICC). The promoters of the event are making sure that the week prior to the actual match will rival that of Super Bowl week.
With the help of Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, the ICC was founded in 2013. Relevant Sports has championed bringing a soccer presence to the United States, as well as globally, so it makes sense that their presence would be felt at the first ever El Clasico not played in Spain. Additionally, El Clásico Miami week will provide an opportunity for fans to experience the culture of Miami by creating events around Miami Beach, Wynwood and Bayfront Park. The week will be filled with concerts, beach parties and art activations that create a spectacle of events around the match.
