There are two ways to look at this.
Reyes makes $22 million a year, so you know he can pay, but on the flip side at $11k a month that is $132k a year, shouldn’t that be more than enough to take care of a 7-year-old child?
A judge thought so.
The ex-mistress of Mets star Jose Reyes struck out in a bid for a child support grand slam.
Judge Lisa Williams ruled after an emotional Tuesday hearing that Reyes would continue to pay $11,500 a month to former paramour Christina Sanchez — who was seeking almost quadruple that amount.
According to the Sanchez camp, the monthly payments to the 31-year-old model became smaller in early 2015 — when Reyes’ wife apparently became aware of the affair and the daughter.
Sanchez is renting out the home that Reyes bought her, so on top of the child support she is getting monthly income.
