People love to say…
“I wouldn’t do that”
When the reality people should say…
“I hope I wouldn’t do that”
In life we make thousands decisions a day and frankly some of them are awful. Joe Mixon made a terrible decision, one that he will always be remembered for and always brought up no matter how long he lives.
Just imagine one really bad decision following you for the rest of your life and people not even being willing to give you a second chance?
Imagine watching others have a redemption story because their heinous acts weren’t caught on tape?
We are supposed to be a forgiving society, especially if the person has apologized and is trying to be better.
When you are white like Ben Roethlisberger no one even mentions what you did, when you are black like Mike Vick it is always mentioned.
All Joe Mixon can do is prove people wrong. Prove that this was a one time thing, a horrible mistake that will never happen again. Keep mentoring kids, especially young men about keep their emotions in check and just be the best person he can be going forward.
