Brad Stevens has always shown respect for LeBron James, but he gave the ultimate praise for the King after his Cleveland Cavaliers destroyed his Boston Celtics at home in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
“It’s hard to believe, but he’s better than when I got into the league,” Stevens said. “A lot better. Just as you get older, you gain more experiences, you see more things. Yeah, I didn’t think he could get any better after that, but he is. He’s a good player. Great player.”
James is 32 years old and in his 14th season, but he has shown no signs of slowing down. He is so far having the finest playoff run of his illustrious NBA career. If he keeps it up, he is well on his way to his seventh straight Finals appearance.
