On Monday night in Manchester, England, the world witnessed the horrors of a terrorist attack on an Ariana Grande concert that left at least 22 people dead and approximately another 60 injured. Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals is scheduled for Tuesday night, and the NBA is wasting no precautionary measure. Security will be on high alert according to TMZ, and more staff will be added to protect against another senseless act of violence.
Law enforcement sources tell us there will be more uniformed and undercover officers than usual at Tuesday’s game against the Celtics at Quicken Loans Arena.
On top of that, we’re told there will be more undercover security outside the venue as well.
NBA spokesman Mike Bass tells us in light of the recent attack, the league is “in communication with the appropriate authorities and taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our fans, teams and staff.”
There is usually beefed up security for playoffs, but Monday night in Manchester left the world shaken.
