Former Cleveland Browns & Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Jackson,48, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident while riding in his Louisiana hometown Friday morning.

Officials say Jackson was driving a ’13 Kawasaki on US 51 around 1 AM at a “high rate of speed” when a 20-year-old woman backed out of a parking spot and into both lanes of the highway.
The motorcycle crashed into the driver’s side door of the car — and the impact was so violent, the bike smashed through the door and killed the driver of the car.
Officials are investigating the crash.
Jackson entered the NFL as the Browns 6th round choice in the 91′ draft. His best season came in 96′ when he amassed a league-leading 14 TDs, also posting career bests in yards (1,201) and catches (76).
After injuries derailed his NFL career in 99′; Jackson ran for & won Mayor of Tangipahoa, LA where he served until 2013.
