Girl Scout cookies are extremely tempting. But for Leah Ann Vick, it represented another temptation. She is now under arrest for stealing $26K worth of Girl Scout cookies.
When people post that they’re now taking orders for Girl Scout cookies, you quickly figure out how to transfer $4 for a box of thin mints. Then, you’re mad at yourself for spending so much for just one box. Now imagine you’re Leah Ann Vick and you have stolen over 6,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies? Talk about cookies on deck.
Leah Ann Vick, 26, was arrested Monday after being accused of stealing cookies that were meant for local troops to sell. Vick signed for more than $26,000 worth of cookies, said Haleigh McGraw, Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Girl Scout marketing director. The local Girl Scout officials have been trying to collect payment for the cookies since February, but have had no luck.
