While LaVar Ball didn’t deserve some of the dangerous and stereotypical monikers given to him after his interaction with FS1’s Kristine Leahy, but that doesn’t mean he is beyond criticism.
Kyrie Irving recently said he feels like LaVar has to let Lonzo be his own man when he comes into the league and LaVar replied with some very insensitive comments.

“Maybe Kyrie don’t have the relationship that me and ‘Zo got. And I don’t think he did. First of all, your mom wasn’t there,” Ball said of Irving, whose mother died of Sepsis Syndrome when he was 4, leaving his father to raise him alone. “So something’s got to change right there. It’s not the same. Lonzo can come home and see his mom and dad all the time. We’ve been together. Most people, with this talent, usually has a single parent. Not two of them together.”
LaVar doesn’t think before he speaks and that is why a lot of times what he says doesn’t make sense or is downright cruel.
Kyrie is a parent himself and didn’t really have a choice about his mom being around considering she passed away when he was young.
This is something LaVar should be sensitive to because his wife has gone through some health issues as well.
LaVar has to be able to take it, if he is going to dish it, but have some class when you are clapping back.
