Charles Oakley is taking Mr. Bigg’s advice (kids, look it up), & taking it to trial.
After the ‘rumble at the Garden’, which resulted in his prompt ejection from MSG; Oakley is telling Manhattan DAs to put their plea deal where the sun doesn’t shine & like it.
According to the New York Post, Oakley has rejected a plea deal in connection with assault charges filed against him after putting his hands on parts of Knicks owner James Dolan’s security team when Dolan had him thrown out for allegedly heckling him. In fact, one Garden employee claims Oakley repeatedly shouted “ALL OF YOU SUCK DOLAN’S D*CK”.
Dolan first tried to issue a lifetime Madison Square Garden ban on Oakley, who played 10 years there, however he later reconsidered the order.
Oakley is claiming he was disrespected and was only standing up for himself before being dragged out for no reason:
“I bought a ticket, I was sitting in my seat and eight people walk up on you, and the next thing you know, you’re dragged out of the Garden. It’s so [disrespectful],” he said.
Oakley stands charged with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, criminal trespass and harassment. Hopefully he’s able to convince a jury of the same thing, because if not he could be in some hot water.
