Carter has a relationship with the Huskies new head coach Mike Hopkins, who was Jim Boeheim’s right hand man at Syracuse for decades.
“He called the day he got there,” Carter said recently “He contacted me immediately.”
A onetime Dayton commit, Carter also considered Georgetown, Boston College and Indiana, among others.
