Cowboys Jourdan Lewis’ now Ex-Girlfriend Nikole Miller said that Lewis beat her over an argument about the electric bill.
Lewis was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault, but come to find out the most harm Lewis did was throwing some pillows at her and she was the aggressor who assaulted him.
She claimed that he dragged her around the house and then choked slammed her.
Cops statements were that she didn’t have any bruises or scratches on her body or neck, but Lewis did.
Lewis told cops she was punched him in the face several times. Here is what Lewis and his lawyer said about the verdict.
The case went to trial and a jury found him not guilty. After court, Lewis told the media, “I’m elated.”
Lewis’ attorney John Shea says, “It’s always gratifying to represent someone that you believe in and have the jury tell me I’m right.”
“We’re just happy it came out the way it did. He’s letting it sink in. He’s been under this cloud for awhile and he’ll need some time to put it behind him but this is a good first start.”
“He’s a got a job and he’s anxious to get back to doing it. I’m sure the team is anxious to get him back on the field.”
Lewis’ freedom, reputation and potentially his job were almost taken away because of a false accusation. This only hurts the real victims of domestic violence.
