Former MVP Derrick Rose is a free agent and is in talks about signing a one-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, defending Eastern Conference champions.

This might be the opportunity for Rose to play on a contender if he does agree to go to the Cavs.
In 2011 Rose took the NBA by storm being the youngest player to win the MVP award and joined Michael Jordan as the only players to win the award in Chicago Bulls history.
Unfortunately after his 2011 season, Rose hasn’t been the same.
In the 2012 playoffs, game one versus the Philadelphia 76ers, Rose injured his left knee.
MRI showed Rose tore his ACL and since then has been in and out because of injuries.
Last year things looked good for Rose who averaged 18 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists on 47.1 percent shooting but was halted in April when he tore his meniscus in his left knee.
Crazy, if Rose signs all the MVPs from 2011-2016 are either on the Golden State Warriors or the Cavs.
Maybe LeBron won’t be as frustrated if the Cavs can ink this deal.
