Check out the details and make sure you tune in.
ESPN’s debut BODY special will highlight behind-the-scenes photo, video, and interview elements with the 23 athletes featured in ESPN The Magazine’s ninth annual BODY issue including World Series champion Javier Baez; NHL teammates Brent Burns (defenseman) and Joe Thornton (center) of the San Jose Sharks; New England Patriots wide receiver and Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman; Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott; adaptive snowboarder/mountaineer and the first veteran featured in the BODY Issue, retired Marine Corps Sgt. Kirstie Ennis; Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy (freeskiing), 2016 WNBA MVP Nneka Ogwumike of the Los Angeles Sparks and two-time NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics.
The one-hour show is hosted by ESPN commentator Julie Foudy, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and former U.S. Women’s National Soccer team captain, and centers around one main theme: “Every Body Has a Story,” where athletes share their respective personal and professional journeys.
ESPN The Magazine launched the BODY franchise almost a decade ago with one mission: to celebrate and showcase the athletic form through powerful images and interviews.
