As Americans continue to react to Trump’s tweet announcement that transgender members of society cannot serve in any capacity of the military, a number of current and ex-military officials are speaking out with former marine and TV host Montel Williams among the most vocal.
TMZ caught up with Williams in Los Angeles and asked his opinion on the ruling. Williams vehemently denounced the decision and pointed to the fact that the government spends more money, to the tune of $98 million, providing erectile dysfunction drugs to ex-military officials than providing medical care for trans service members.
“I’m not saying we don’t have a right to E.D. drugs. But, an E.D. drug is really a choice,” Williams said, as his voice began to crack. “Living inside of a body that’s not yours? How dare we!”
