KD is a champion and he’s feeling great. You can just tell everything about him now seems to just glow a bit differently. No one can burst his bubble, not even OKC.
Obviously him leaving to go to the Warriors hurt fans and some of teammates. There were cupcake wars and all that but Durant still holds OKC in high regard.
This really shows when Paul George spoke to Sports Illustrated about Durant telling him how OKC is like. George got traded there and he’s doing some research. He’s not close to Westbrook, which will change and he’s asking players & former players how it is. Here’s what KD told George
KD was like, ‘That place will blow you away,’” George says. “He told me, ‘They can offer what other teams can’t in terms of the people and the preparation and the facility, down to the chefs and the meals.’ He was pretty high on them. He thought it was a first-class organization in every way.
That’s that guidance counselor recommendation. KD is good with OKC, despite leaving them and this should be a comforting welcome for Paul George. However, will he stay or is this just a pit stop? We’ll see but for now enjoy the people, preparation and meals.
