Carl Dix is a co-initiator of Refuse Fascism and a long time revolutionary leader, and representative of the Revolutionary Communist Party. He co-founded the Oct 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality in 1996. And he co-founded, with Dr. Cornel West, in 2011 the Stop Mass Incarceration Network.
Dix and his colleague were protesting during the NFL meeting with players and owners about the anthem protests.
I spoke to Dix on BSO LIVE with Robert Littal (You can listen live 8pm EST, 5PM PST on Fantasy Sports Radio Network) about his organization and what he was trying to get across by confronting Jerry Jones. The most interesting part is Dix says at one point it appeared Jones was going to say something to him, but decided against it.
Jerry Jones has thrown his full support behind Donald Trump and wants a rule in place to make players stand for the National Anthem. Dix and others say that is a clear case of white supremacy and simply won’t allow it.
On October 22nd, Dix plans to have protests in a few NFL cities about police brutality, you can read more about that here and on November 4th there will be another protest to end the Trump-Pence presidency, you can read more about that here.
