Donald Trump is back at war with the NFL once again. At the NFL’s annual fall meeting, team owners decided not to punish players who kneel during the national anthem. Players kneeling during the anthem have been the result of protesting racial inequality towards African Americans. Trump is using Jerry Jones to try to get the rule in place to force them to stand.
Trump posted a tweet out voicing his white supremacy on Twitter attacking the NFL for its decision to not penalize kneeling players and to move forward to other issues.
The NFL has decided that it will not force players to stand for the playing of our National Anthem. Total disrespect for our great country!

It’s still hard to fathom that Trump still doesn’t understand the meaning behind kneeling during the national anthem. African Americans in America still do not receive equal treatment that others receive in the United States, which includes interactions with law enforcement. The NFL is doing the right thing to address players’ concerns despite backlash from a president who uses the troops as an excuse to disapprove of kneeling during the anthem but shrugs off African Americans who die while serving this country.
