Looks like Florida is trying to find ways to dip out on paying their now former head football coach, Jim McElwain.
As of today, Benjamin Allbright, has reported that Florida has given the coach his walking papers.
Just got the confirmation text, Jim McElwain is out at Florida.

Florida’s biggest concern? The $13M tag that’s attached to Coach McElwain, but it looks like the school has found a loophole. Just a few weeks ago, McElwain disclosed that players and his family have begun to receive death threats. The school all but acknowledged the events but did state that they took those matters seriously; it was during this time, that talks of firing began.
You have to wonder if there was more to this story than just a disappointing loss to Georgia. McElwain kept Florida afloat with back to back SEC championships and winning seasons with his current record, 22-12, in three years. It’s not too shabby. Whatever it is, the safety of McElwain and his family are of most importance and hopefully, he founds solace in that.
