Some white people think this is funny, but we will see how funny it is when your name is forever attached to this.
South Dakota State University said it has reached out and started a dialogue with a man who was pictured wearing blackface as part of a Halloween costume.
The photo was shared on Twitter on Friday night by another account and shows a man wearing blackface and a black wig. He is kneeling and holding a sign saying, “Will stand for money” in a reference to NFL players kneeling during the national anthem. The tweet has since been deleted.
The man pictured in the photo identifies himself on Twitter and Facebook as South Dakota State student Cole Paulson, though the school said Saturday night he is not enrolled this semester and couldn’t immediately confirm whether or not he attended the school previously.
The person who shared the photo on Twitter included a screen shot of Paulson’s profile picture and a message, “Do your thing, Twitter,” encouraging people to reach out his personal Twitter account.
He has locked his twitter account @32Paulson32 after giving a very lame apology, but we have to expose these people to let them know being openly racist won’t be tolerated.
Flip the pages of him defending himself being a racist.
