The wound of the USMNT not qualifying for the World Cup is one that will sting many. However, with our current government, many are actually happy that the team has been eliminated. Trinidad & Tobago’s Wikipedia page was even changed to reflect that.
It’s no mystery that soccer is a sport that not many care about in the states. But when you leave the states, soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Soccer fans are passionate and love their teams dearly. In recent years, team USA has been struggling and tonight’s loss against Trinidad & Tobago proved a couple of things-the soccer program must be fixed and they’re not very good.
