Blue Jays and Phillies great Roy Halladay died today in a plane crash in the Gulf of Mexico, according to Pasco County (Fla.) Sheriff Dept.

A private plane reportedly owned by retired baseball superstar Roy Halladay went down in a fatal crash Tuesday in the Gulf of Mexico.
Roy is an experienced pilot who lives in Florida. The FAA confirms to TMZ Sports … the plane that crashed is an ICON A5 light sport aircraft, and says it went down 10 miles west of St. Petersburg.
