UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor has given his view as to why he lost it at an MMA event in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland this past weekend.
Despite him being a guest at Bellator 187, who also happens to be the rival promotion to his current employer UFC, McGregor feels that the referee had no business trying to keep him out the cage after he felt entitled to celebrate with his training partner Charlie Ward.
McGregor addressed the matter Monday morning before deleting it by tweeting per TMZ Sports:
“Bloke KO’d on floor bout a minute straight and ref trying to say fight’s not over, Conor. That’s when I lost it. F**k yous all.”
Not only did McGregor go after Marc Goddard, a well-respected referee in the MMA community, the UFC star also slapped a Bellator official who stopped him from re-entering the cage after he had been already been thrown out.
