The Oklahoma City Thunder blew the doors off the Golden State Warriors at the Peake on Wednesday night, 108-91. The score was much closer than the game actually indicated. From just about the opening tip the Warriors could not match the energy and intensity of the Thunder and their defending MVP Russell Westbrook.
Russ was fired up as he always is but seemed to have extra bounce in his step. He went nose to nose with former teammate Kevin Durant with the two exchanging words on several occasions. Westbrook and his supporting cast thoroughly outplayed KD and his crew.
Late in the game with the Warriors resting all their starters in the blowout, Russ and the Thunder starters were still in the game. Westbrook was 1 assist shy of recording a triple double and you could see him hunting for it. It is no secret around the league that Thunder teammates often passed up on available rebounds and assists to ensure Russ averaged a triple double last season.
KD and Steph seemed amused by this and can be seen on the bench laughing at Russ stat hunting. Flip the page to see the video courtesy of Drew Shiller.
