Details On 3 Florida Men Formally Charged With Dragging Shark (Video)

Many of you might’ve seen this video circulate the internet back in the summertime and today, these three men have been formally charged with two felony counts.

The video above comes courtesy of CBS as you can see the footage of this animal being dragged by these men. Michael Wenzel, Spencer Heintz, & Robert Lee Benac are each facing two counts of aggravated animal cruelty. Here are the details.

Wenzel and Benac also face a misdemeanor count of illegal method of taking a shark.

FWC Chairman Bo Rivard said in a statement that he hopes the charges send a clear message that this kind of behavior won’t be tolerated.

Prosecutors in Hillsborough County are handling the case. Jail records didn’t list attorneys for the men.

Can you imagine having a felony on your record for dragging a shark? If that doesn’t spell dumb, then I’m not sure what is.

  • Get charged for dragging a shark but not killing a black person. Live. On film. Dash cams. Vest cams. iPhones. Androids. boost mobile. In parks. In Front of children. Hell children. In homes. On corners. In police custody. Rolled in gym mats. Organs missing. Oh ok. A great white shark life is more valuable than an adult/child of color. Say no more.
