The Kelly Olynyk revenge game! The Miami Heat arrived for Wednesday’s night game down Hassan Whiteside, Goran Dragic, James Johnson, and Justice Winslow, so they needed other players to step up if they wanted any chance at beating the Eastern Conference top seed Celtics. That was not a problem for former Celtic Kelly Olynyk. He stepped up in a huge way for his team and made the Celtics regret not re-signing him at least for tonight.
Kelly Olynyk went off. Olynyk had a new career high 32 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Olynyk lifted the Heat past the Celtics for their 2nd win in 3 games.
Olynk sealed his career night with a filthy slam over new Celtic Kyrie Irving and fellow teammate Jaylen Brown. Olynyk almost ended his season with a scary fall in which he appeared to be seriously injured but Olynyk stayed in the game and finished the contest.
Kyrie tried to spoil Olynyk’s return and career game with a last-second game winner, but Kyrie’s shot fell short.
