The University of Miami female fan who’s infamous for slapping an officer at the football game had the charges against her dropped Monday but she has been ordered to write an apology letter to the officer who punched her in retaliation.
30-year-old Bridget Freitas of Pembroke Pines, won’t be charged with disorderly conduct or battery on a law enforcement officer after she agreed to write to Miami-Dade police officer Douglas Ross an apology letter per Charles Rabin. Freitas must also complete 50 hours of community service and pay over $100 to cover prosecution costs.
Douglas Ross, who is an 18-year veteran was cleared of any wrongdoing despite a cellphone footage of the incident showing him punching the woman as she was being carried away from the crowd by four police officers last week.
