Philadelphia Eagles Defensive End Chris Long has been very vocal over the past year of his disapproval of Donald Trump’s actions as president and he is still voicing his concerns in 2018. Long was part of the Patriots team that won the Super Bowl last season and passed up on visiting Trump in the White House.
Long appeared on the Barstool Sports podcast ‘Pardon My Take’ and when asked for his response regarding to him joining the Eagles on a possible White House visit, his response was simply, “No I’m not going to the White House. Are you kidding me?”
Long also did an amazing job this season of standing in solidarity of his fellow black teammates when they kneeled during the national anthem to protest racism and police brutality. Long using his white privilege to address racial inequality is to be saluted and his fellow Philly teammates might also join in on this boycott should they win the Super Bowl.
