This is horrific.
I can only imagine what the family is going through right now. Here are the details.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were conducting suicide and homicide investigations in northwest Charlotte after a woman jumped to her death and her two children also died Saturday.
Police said Christina Elizabeth Treadway, 34, injured 3-year-old Iliyah Miller and 7-year-old Isaiah Miller in a home on the 2100 block of Sebastiani Drive.
Then Treadway jumped from a bridge on Interstate 485, police said. She was found near the Old Gum Branch Road bridge and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
After finding Treadway, police gathered information that led them to the home on Sebastiani Drive, where officers found the two children with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Both children were taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, police said.Treadway worked as a game-day employee for the Panthers, team spokesman Steven Drummond confirmed Sunday. After the deaths of his children, the father wrote on a GoFundMe page, “My kids were my everything I truly don’t know how my life will go on.”Moore said that his son, who had been in a relationship with Treadway for about 10 years, was out with friends when he received a text “saying that she loves him and she’s sorry and that she’s going to end it all and the kids.”
“What she did is unbelievable,” Moore said..”
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with the funeral of the kids.
