Steve Wynn has been known over the decades for creating an empire in Las Vegas. He owns many of the city’s top hotels and resorts such as the Wynn resort and oversaw operations of the Bellagio and the Mirage. Allegations are now surfacing that he sexually assaulted a myriad of employees at the resorts he owns, according to an investigation by The Wall Street Journal.
Many of these reports come from current and former employees of the resorts who say that they either experienced or witnessed these assaults by Wynn. Among the reported acts committed by Wynn are lewd comments, inappropriate touching, and forcing sex acts by manicurists and massage therapists at the resorts.
An employee at the Wynn resort detailed how Wynn forced her to have sex with him in 2005 after a manicure. A report filed against Wynn forced him to pay $7.5 million in a settlement.
Per information sent to The Huffington Post, Wynn is denying all allegations and blasted anyone who thinks that they can make up stories to their own benefit.
“The idea that I ever assaulted any woman is preposterous,” said Wynn. “We find ourselves in a world where people can make allegations, regardless of the truth, and a person is left with the choice of weathering insulting publicity or engaging in multi-year lawsuits. It is deplorable for anyone to find themselves in this situation.”
Other disturbing information shared by employees to the Wall Street Journal is that Wynn would often walk around the resort with short shorts and no underwear. When receiving a pedicure, he would sit down to expose his genitals.
Many of the employees of Wynn’s would often shrug off these incidents due to their job security. It will be interesting to see if Wynn will eventually step down due to these incidents.
