A man authorities say beat and threatened a woman he trafficked from Wisconsin died early Saturday morning after a confrontation with a good Samaritan offering to help the woman escape her alleged captor.
Houston police said at about 2:30 a.m. they responded to a report of dead man in road of the 14500 block of Hempstead Road near Jersey Village.
According to police officers, the man was a pimp. Just moments before he died, they said witnesses saw the man beating one of his girls at a night club off Hempstead Highway.
Police said the woman grew few up and walked off. As she walked down the road the man followed.
That’s when a good Samaritan drove by and stopped to help the woman.
The man and the good Samaritan started arguing, but the man told the Samaritan he had a gun. The Samaritan got back in his truck to flee after the man reached into his waistband to retrieve the alleged weapon.
As the truck began to pull away, the woman attempted to jump into the moving vehicle. The man grabbed her hair and started pulling her out, as the Samaritan started driving. The man and the woman were thrown to the ground.
The man smacked his head on the roadway as he fell.
The woman will live.
