Stephen Jones Speaks on Sideline Dez Bryant Being a Distraction & Dez Not Having Chemistry With Dak

I think I have a good idea what is going to happen with Dez Bryant and the Cowboys.

Dez doesn’t want to leave the Cowboys because it is the only place he can be a big star without putting up big numbers. He is beloved there; there are only so many places where you can beat up your mom and still be praised as a GOD.

The money situation will be something where Dez takes a pay cut, but they will make it seem like he is getting a raise or the contract will have a lot of incentives.

Cowboys though are planting the seeds if they decide to let him go. Clarence Thomas of Star-Telegram has the report.

On the Dak Prescott and Dez chemistry:

“The Dez situation has a lot of moving parts to it,” Jones said. “The chemistry between Dak and Dez is different between Tony (Romo) and Dez. Tony and Dez had their game tailored to one another. Dak doesn’t play the way Tony played. It hasn’t hit on all cylinders on how the connection works. It’s a work in progress.”

On Bryant’s sideline antics:

“The other thing that we all see and it is certainly visible to anyone who watches our games, watches our sideline, is Dez is certainly a fiery guy who plays with a lot of emotion both on and off the field,” Jones said. “Sometimes that can be a distraction. It can be a distraction for Dez. It can be a distraction for other teammates.

I would put the percentage at Dez coming back at 75% at the moment; things can change especially if the Cowboys draft a young franchise receiver.
