Zach Randolph returned to the city of Memphis as a Sacramento Kings player for the first time on Friday night and received a thunderous ovation by the Grizzlies fans in recognition of his contributions to the franchise.
Randolph will always be recognized for his fantastic work as a centerpiece of the Memphis Grizzlies over eight seasons from 2009 through 2017 per Uproxx’s Brad Rowland.
Randolph alongside Marc Gasol, Mike Conley, and Tony Allen was responsible for what can be defined as the Grizzlies golden era. When he represented Memphis, Randolph averaged 16.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game over 551 games.
