It appears that the University of Arizona’s basketball program has taken a hit within it’s 2018 recruiting class. Amid the revelation that head coach Sean Miller was caught discussing a $100,000 payment with Christian Dawkins to ensure Deandre Ayton would sign with the school, it appears that Shareef O’ Neal, son of Shaquille O’ Neal has decided to decommits from Arizona.
While thanking the Arizona coaching staffing fro recruiting him, he’s decided to re-open his recruitment due to the ongoing FBI probe which places the basketball program in the center of it. O’Neal, who is a 4-star prospect and the #33 overall player in the 2018 class, originally committed to Arizona back in April 2017.
At this time I'm am opening up my recruitment due to the current events with the UofA Bball team.I would like to thank all the coaches for recruiting me. At the time my family and I think it's in my best interest to look at other options to assure my play in the NCAA next year.
