The Oklahoma City Thunder fell victim to a heartbreaking game-winning three by Nuggets Guard Gary Harris in Denver as time expired last night. Russell Westbrook had the unfortunate time of being victim of that shot as it was knocked down in front of his face.
Immediately after the game concluded, a Nuggets fan quickly approached Westbrook and got in his face. This prompted Westbrook to shove the fan as security and officials arrived quickly.
Per ESPN.com’s Royce Young, Westbrook will face no sort of punishment such as a fine or suspension. From the fans’ point of view, it looked like Westbrook had every right to push this man as no fan should behave this way at an NBA game.
There will be no punishment from the league for Russell Westbrook stemming from last night’s incident with a courtside fan in Denver.
