Johnny Manziel will be playing football very soon; this time with the Spring League. This organization helps develop football players in hopes of taking their talents to the professional level.
Games will begin on March 28 in Austin, Texas. Manziel expressed his gratitude in a statement as he knows that this could possibly open a door for his football career again.
“The Spring League has provided me with a great opportunity to play ball again, and ultimately, that is all I want to do,” said Manziel. “I miss the competition. I’d like to thank Brian Woods and The Spring League staff for this opportunity to play the game I love. I’ve made my share of mistakes, but I’m 25 years old and I know my best football is ahead of me.”
According to TMZ Sports, Manziel was invited to join the Spring League last year. There were conditions that he must have nightly check-ins and pass a USADA drug test on the first day of action. The Spring League also told TMZ Sports that they believe that this opportunity is the ideal situation for him to attempt his NFL comeback.
