There’s never a dull moment with Cleveland basketball these days. The Cavs traded Kyrie Irving and got an injured Isaiah Thomas in the deal. Thomas only was able to recently start playing with the team after his rehab, but the relationship has been rocky to say the least. IT4 keeps taking jabs at Tyronn Lue and the coaching staff, and after the loss to the Magic Tuesday night, the jabs keep coming according to Ohio.com.
“We got to adjust throughout the game,” he said. “They made adjustments and it worked and we just kept getting hit with the same thing and we made no adjustments.
“And that’s been one of our biggest problems all year, is adjusting. Teams are not just going to allow us to continue to score and continue to do things at a high level. They’re going to make adjustments and we have to do the same thing, too, and we’re not that good at that right now.”
When told of Thomas’ comments about the lack of adjustments before Wednesday night’s home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Lue said, “That’s not true.”
With all the discord with this season’s Cavs, it doesn’t look too likely that LeBron James can lead his team to an 8th straight NBA Finals. Unless something changes soon, the Cavs might even miss the Eastern Conference Finals, dare I say it.
