Student loans have us all going crazy and doing anything to pay them off. Full-time jobs aren’t paying enough and many, many millennials have taken on second, third and odd jobs to not only pay off loans but to just live.
CNBC has a story on one millennial who found a very odd job that’s helping her chip away at student loans.
Sam Varnerin who already has a full-time job as a construction engineer wanted to pay her loans as quickly as possible. She was looking was for a side job and stumbled upon a professional snuggler job.
“I read it and thought it was a joke,” says Sam. “But there was a part of me that realized if this was a legitimate business, I’d be good at it.”
Well, she continued on and discovered that a lot people in her area were looking for someone to snuggle with and the hours were flexible. Most importantly, she could make $40 an hour doing this.
Varnerin eventually ended up quitting her full time job to be a snuggler. She has her own business, “Snuggle with Sam“, where she work 18 hours a week and charges $80 to $100 an hour.
Must be nice to be Sam because other people could never do this.
