On December 18th former Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson put out a press release that at the conclusion of the season the team would be for sale. Only hours later Sean P. Diddy Combs tweeted his immediate interest in purchasing the team.

Shortly after Diddy showed interest North Carolina native and Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry followed suit. It is now being said via ESPN that Michael Rubin (Owner of Fanatics.com) is leading a group looking to add the Hip-hop mogul and basketball player to the group. Nothing has been set in stone but someone close to the situation says that Rubin is looking to minority partners to show his group has diversity.
