Dominick Cruz says that Floyd Mayweather’s aspirations of fighting in the Octagon by the end of 2018 are a joke. The former UFC bantamweight champion is confident that he can beat Mayweather with one arm if the latter was to compete in his first mixed martial arts fight within the next six to eight months.
“He’s only got 2 tools — he doesn’t have the other 8,”
Mayweather is currently applying for a pro MMA license and has set six to eight month timetable to get ready for a his MMA debut probably versus Conor McGregor per TMZ Sports.
Cruz says Mayweather would be lucky if he was even able to land one takedown defense properly within his time frame of training. However, it’s not impossible especially if he puts in hard work with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, who is currently training the legendary boxer.
