All of the evidence has been in the light over the past five months as to why Meek Mill has been wrongfully imprisoned since October. Judge Genece Brinkley has clearly shown a hateful bias against Meek when she asked him to shout her out in a song, switch his management for a friend of hers, and Philadelphia police officer Reginald Graham being on the list of corrupt cops within the city. Graham was the cop who initially arrested Meek a decade ago and used brutality on him.
According to SayCheeseTV, Meek Mill is expected to be released on Monday after his court hearing. Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney also advocated for Meek’s release, according to an email sent by a representative of his. (Per TheJasmineBrand.)
“He believes Mill would better serve the community outside of prison, and that his case makes clear and urgent the desperate need to continue working with our partners to reform the criminal justice system.”
What’s happening to Meek is a clear example of how black men have been treated by America’s unjust and corrupt criminal justice system. Mass incarceration of black men for minor to no crimes continues to be an issue.
